Mentioned a while ago Trinity don't appear to have any sort of attacking structures in place. Well it certainly came home to roost today. The team look clueless in attack and wasted excellent field position with poor options, both from the pivots and the supporting runners. Aimless kicks into the in goal area which run dead. As a unit the players stand far too flat and disjointed, often receiving the ball in a static position making no yards.

The amount of penalties Catalans gave away in the second half should've seen Trinity home, but collectively they had no idea how to capitalise on it.


The French showed the way. Very good side who didn't need to start with the ugly stuff, that only allowed Trinity to stay in the game.

Poor.

Poor effort from the Wakefield public too. Crap crowd.

Glad I didn't go but wish I hadn't gone to where I went. Think the wind and rain flurries forecasters gave out may have put a few off?

Didn't make the most of the conditions in the first half, couldn't tackle and non existent kicking game. First time this season I have felt let down. Ref was abysmal and should never ref another SL game.

I think the so called supporters of Wakefield Trinity have run out of excuses to sit on their backsides and not back the club where it counts in the bloody stadium



As for todays game lets get real we have a young side who had the stuffing knocked out of them last week.
Yes we were poor today awful in the first half but Catalan are a BIG strong team who will be top 8 easy we missed Rinaldi and the size of King today lets just move on to Friday bring on Salford

Not often i agree with you but i can't fault that post, my worry is Friday, and the team being able picking themselves up from the last two weeks, sadly we seem to have got a few injuries today.

They are doing it tough.

Hats off to all those who went, I drove past the ground at 3.37 and felt pretty wretched to be honest. I really saw myself staying to the very end of our SL tenure but I suppose I'm a pretty crap fan


I still spend big amounts in the shop when we win but slowly detaching myself from some thing I love so very much is unbelievably hard. I love the club more than anyone but I just can't take the hurt from where we are.

Catalans were far superior in almost every facet of the game. Too much strength and speed for us coupled with great support play and some real intelligent play. In fact i felt we did well to stay in the game at half time, and as mentioned we lacked organisation and creativity when it mattered.

They'll beat sides by alot more than then did today

Unfortunately there will be games like that where we just aren't at the races...It's probably the worst I've seen us play but it's got to be expected with so much inexperience in the side...

Catalans are a very good side...big, strong and have excellent players leading them round the park...they were throwing the ball about for fun in the first half and we just couldn't cope...They scored some excellent tries and we were just soundly beaten by the better team...


We miss Rinaldi like you wouldn't believe....We couldn't have expected much more than we got attack wise with the inexperience of the 3 main pivot players...Wildie, Lee and Davey....two of those have been bit part players up to now and some of us are complaining that we lacked in the attacking department...if you can't see why then I suggest you take up watching another sport..

Yes, there was definitely a hangover from the cup game, lacked the intensity and direction around the field, obviously it wasn't helped by Rinaldi being out but they need to pick themselves up and really target next week for the win.

Well said but it won't catch on with some of the fools on here.
