It's just occurred to me, Can't we organise a petition, or a March from Belle Vue to Eric France,s Yard or home to try to convince him that we need him to rescue our club.
perhaps his reasons for NOT doing so could then be made public. It might just be the spur that we need to get rid of the strangle hold, or resistance to investors
that is the Richardson clan.
It seems to me that the conditions that Ted would not agree to when EF wanted to invest, involved the getting rid of Ted's men/woman on the current BOD, and shop.

I'd rather try and convice the other Guy who was mentioned at the Shareholders Meeting.
Unfortunately no new investors are going to invest in a Club that has debts without the certainty of a SL franchise in 2012. They could take over the club, inherit the debt and then find they have spent a substantial sum only to be the owners of a Championship Club or they can wait until the Club goes bust (if it does not secure the required investment) buy the club from the Administrator for a fraction of the debt. They then own the Club and if it get a franchise for 2012 then its a result, if they dont they own a Championship club for a fraction of what it would cost if they stepped in now.
Its all about cost and risk. In my opinion no one is going to take over the club and its liabillities in the current situation we find ourselves.

I'm starting to think that one of our wealthy stakeholders is planning to do just that - from a business perspective, it's the only option that makes any sense.

| That was the route Steve O Connor took but now Crusaders have gone in and out of Administration maybe there is `previous` enough for the new buyer to have a punt. Good luck indeed from fellow sufferers Salford.

| I think it would be Jonathan France who would be wanting to invest as opposed to Eric.

Agreed, and considering his attitude towards Ted and Co, it wouldn't be at all surprising if he was looking to protect his own investment in the same way that's been described elsewhere on here i.e by allowing the club to go into administration, any money he later spends to buy it will be used productively, rather than to clear historical debt incurred by the corrent BoD.
The same applies for any of our potential saviours in my opinion - there is simply no business case for bailing out Ted and Co.

And why the only group that may be 'stupid' enough to do so are the fans, who are thinking with sentiment rather than business head.

I don’t think stupidity can be cited against fans that are prepared to throw their hard earned money into a black hole.
Blind passion maybe, but they’re not stupid.

I don't see any evidence for that.
I do see that the BoD have *tried* to play on that sentiment, but I haven't seen any fans blindly pledging their money; most of the comments on here have ranged from cautious to outright cynicism.
