He's not not backing him. It's just fact. They have the option to bring on the 2nd best prop in the league, whereas we have a 21 year old kid with about 10 appearances to his name. It's not knocking to lad to point out the vast difference in quality. Nobody has any doubts Laidlaw will give it his all if he gets on the pitch, but it's not unfair on him to simply point out the gulf in quality and experience.
