He was over here last year and out of favour at the Giants.

He played there at Junior level and they seem to like him, he even captained the side. Good to see despite an average 20 games for Huddersfield they're still willing to back him. |

All very true and as you say it’s great to see him getting a chance back where it all began.
My point was that there was a halfback over here last year who wasn’t wanted by his club yet has all the qualities that are needed for a huge club like Canberra to select him as their starting halfback in the NRL.
Why didn't we sign him?
Chester has gone on record a few times now saying we need a halfback, we’re looking but there’s no one available. |

Is saw him play on probably 10 or more occasions, he wasn’t the best I’ve ever seen but he did have some pretty good games as well. What he did bring was some organisational and kicking ability, maybe he’d have been a better fit for us than he was for Huddersfield?

All in hindsight now lad! God knows, Canberra have only taken him on a one-year development contract. We'll see how it pans out for him after this game. |
