Joel played his first Union game last night for the Saracens A team. Unsurprisingly he didn't see much of the ball, by all accounts, but looked solid enough when he had it. Looks like he'll have to get used to playing in the cold & wet with the odd pass here and there. still - think of the money Joel...

As we're discussing union does anybody have any views on the RFU disciplinary decision to ban Chris Ashton for four weeks for pulling someone's hair?

I support the RFU on this, Alesana Tuilagi spent a lot of money getting his hairdo just right and for Ashton to pull it risked serious damage to his braids and risked him having to go back to the salon, we can't have this in the game! It's like smearing someones mascara or pinging their bra strap in the tackle. |

TBH he is an very recent departure so it is only fair that he should be discussed on here. I personally could not give two hoots if he is successful or not, but that still does not mean that there should be censorship on discussing him?
