Has anybody else started receiving marketing texts from the Bulls & Indian restaurants?

Out of all the companies I deal with, the Bulls were one which I trusted not to misuse my personal details. Can't say I'm impressed.

I haven't, but then when there's an asterisk by a phone number that I really don't want to give, and would never want a call from, I just put random ones with a Venezuelan dialling code. 00 58 212 is for Caracas.

I've had 2 for 1 curry offer at Omar's. If anyone fancies going I can let them have my offer. No idea how they got my details though. 2 for 1 at Betty's is more my thing.

They must be using my personal info from the Bulls system. I kind of expect to get marketing emails (although I always request not to) but absolutely hate receiving marketing texts sent to my mobile.

This was the latest one. Pretty sure there's a connection to Omar Kahn's after getting texts from them also:

"Hussain's (formerly Street Buffet) is gaining a reputation for serving high quality Asian cuisine at an affordable price. Sister branch at Lindley Hudds."

This was my reply. Assumed we were just exchanging facts:

"The pizza take-away down the end of our road have an offer on. Buy any 2 x 11" pizzas and receive a free garlic bread. Very nice too."

You'll wait long for that. Although I guess its too much to expect them to let Nouveau-Olicanans into the Box Tree, so I guess I can understand why you will live in hope of a freebie at Bettys. Although Lishmans have just started doing takeaway food, so they might be able to put you on a bit until your application to join the Bettys queue is considered.

I must admit I've not progressed beyond looking at the Box Tree menu on the outside & shaking my head in disbelief while laughing manically. The competition from the new Wetherspoons round the corner might drive the cost of starters to below a tenner though.

Yes I am getting e-shoots from Omars - but this is the modern world and you can click unsubscribe. I can cope with meal deals much better than those wretched PPI cold calls.
