| Could you shed some light on a question i asked a Cas fan, but he was unable to answer for me.
Is J32 a "community stadium"? if so who else will be tenants? to the best of your knowledge how much involvement is WMDC having?
Any news when the building work will begin?
(please can we not have this turn in to a slagging match- genuine question)

As far as I'm aware, it will be owned by a company owned by the Tigers, Waystone and WMDC. I think WMDC will operate some facilities within the ground (e.g. swimming pool) but the pitch will be used soley by Cas as far as the plans go at the moment.
No word on additional tennants, I guess we'll wait and see.

can it be a community stadium then? if there is only one use, be wary of having the council on board, listen to the leigh fans after what they get forced on them at the LSV,
As far as im aware WMDC have done there bit for us now with the land gesture, all they need to do it rubber stamp planning permission, and that will come very quickly indeed!! i prefer it that way tbh WMDC are one thing i wont miss when i leave Wakie to start my new job in sept.
Are we all positive about it?

WMDC are doing exactly the same for Cas and Wakey, I have no idea what a 'community stadium' is if it isn't one entirelly run and operated by the council - which I believe Leigh's is and ours definitely isn't.
I'll be positive when I'm sat down in the new ground, until then I'll keep out of the nonsense that preceeds it.

| As far as I'm aware, a community stadium is one with facilities for the community which don't just amount to the provision of a sport as an entertainment.
In other word, it's the stadium where Cas (or any other local club) play. but is open to people on non-match days for other pastimes such as bowling, swimming, etc.
It doesn't have to be OWNED by the council, but it is available for provision of services which the council would otherwise provide.

Is it regarding the sport england grant that Cas had turned down? from what i can gather from my friend who works in bloomsbury square, j32 has been turned down for the funding the applied for on the grounds sport england was already in the final stages of delivering funds to improve the whole Wakefield district with an investment in the j30 project, with the main & what will prove controversial point of j30 being aimed at the whole district (wakefield & 5 towns) not one individual surrounding town. I have a feeling some people may feel aggreved on this one if you consider Sir Rodney Walkers involvement with both the j30 project and exsiting links with sport england?
If thats not the funding you have heard about thats great! would love to see both teams in new grounds. Would that be the whole funding you have acquired then, from what you heard.
